BUILDING A CULTURE OF PARTNERSHIP IN FINANCE

  FRIDAY 3RD APRIL 2020

Finance business partnership is not a requirement of your professional qualification, and nor should it be. The notion of ‘business partnership’ is executed differently to achieve impact based on the context of stakeholder types, the complexity of business issues, and the level of financial acumen of your partners, amongst other nuances. However, with the ‘greyness’ of business partnership, most teams unable to embrace business partnership effectively, often bottle-necking ‘influence’ to senior members of the team.

Right now, many (not all) businesses are seeking an increased level of collaboration, better decision making, and for finance to more effectively work with non-finance leaders and teams to bring about better results. In addition, many finance professionals claim to have effective skills in partnership, but the same feedback is not shared from their non-finance counterparts.

In this webinar, we will explore where finance teams can be left ‘treading water’ when it comes to creating value through business partnership, and how a ‘culture of partnership’ when well executed leaders to a stronger seat at the table and more innovative solutions being developed by the finance team, even when you thought it wasn’t possible.

This included:

  • Foundational definitions to get right with your finance team
  • Setting up for your cultural shift, and making the future ‘tangible’
  • Designing cultural elements that suit your business and maturity of your finance team
  • Important considerations for learning and development in business partnership when assessing the readiness of your team to create a ‘culture of partnership’.
