TRACTION FOR BUSINESS ADVISORY

THE GREAT ENABLER OR DISABLER FOR ACCOUNTING & ADVISORY PRACTICES

THE GREAT ENABLER OR DISABLER FOR ACCOUNTING & ADVISORY PRACTICES

  RECORDED   TUESDAY 11Th OCT 2022  | TRACTION

This TRACTiON webinar is a fireside chat with Alan FitzGerald, "The Software Whisperer", Founder of Practice Connections Advisory to discuss if "technology is a great enabler or disabler for accounting and advisory practices?"

Alan is an independent accounting software advisor who set up Practice Connections Advisory in 2015, based on demand from accounting firms looking for independent technology-agnostic support.  He has over 30 years of working in technology, 22 of those dedicated to tax and accounting software, and is also a strategic adviser for TaxLab and on the advisory panel for start-up SpringBRD.

Our Facilitator, Brad Eisenhuth, discussed with Alan FitzGerald:

  • Where do accounting practices get most overwhelmed regarding the technology market?

  • How to engage with your accounting practices around technology selection?

  • What are the key questions a business or practice should be asking when changing technology?

  • The key standards for running a progressive, engaging "tech savvy" practice that attracts new talent.

ALAN FITZGERALD

BUSINESS FOUNDER & LEADER - SOFTWARE WHISPERER

I’ve enjoyed nearly 30 years working in technology, 22 of which have been dedicated to tax and accounting software. I set up Practice Connections Advisory in 2015, based on demand from accounting firms looking for independent technology-agnostic support.
‍Alongside my unique 'software-whispering' skills, I’m also:

  • the strategic market adviser for TaxLab
  • the regional manager for Otico Software a Swiss-based software solution for CbCR (CountrybyCountryReporting)
  • on the SpringBRD advisory panel, a start-up micro-fund aimed at investing in passionate people in technology.

When faced with myriad technology choices in the search for specialist IT solutions, it can be daunting. I can help you approach these decisions with confidence, bridging the gap between what you need and what is most suitable now, and in the future.
